Naramatisho Women Centre

Welcome to Naramatisho Women’s Centre, an initiative under the Pastoral Women’s Council (PWC). This centre serves as a beacon of empowerment, providing indigenous pastoralist women’s with the resources and opportunities to achieve economic independence, and thrive within their communities.

At Naramatisho Women Centre, culture meets innovation to create sustainable change. Our mission goes beyond economic empowerment; we are committed to fostering gender equity, expanding access to education, and preserving the rich heritage of pastoral communities. By bridging tradition with progress, we aim to build a resilient society where women and girls can achieve their full potential.

80% of our income directly supports pastoralist women through various empowerment initiatives, while 20% funds scholarships for girls from pastoralist communities. These scholarships will help create a pathway to brighter futures for Maasai girls by addressing critical barriers such as gender inequity, financial hardships, and lack of access to education.

When you engage with Naramatisho Women’s Centre, you are contributing to a broader movement—supporting women, preserving culture, and driving environmental sustainability.
